800Pizza is worth a place to go. After being warmly greeted by Restaurant Supervisor Mr. Mohammad, we were seated after taking a quick tour of facility.
Kids also got their hand working on those perfect kneaded pizza dough. After wearing they aprons, they were all set with Junior Chef gadgets rolling pins on pizza and also got involved in some pizza making sessions. It was very nice to see them involved in Italian Pizza fun.
Resto Setting & Ambiance:
They have lovely indoor setup and dining arrangement inside as well as the alfresco style Terrace seating. Inside seating is not too big it’s just enough to accommodate around 20 people, however, I love the decor the wood fire pizza oven, lamps & the wall hangings with vintage pictures on it and some good music.
The service was quite prompt as each order came warm & fresh to the table. The restaurant environment is friendly, and the staff cares about the customers. You feel that you are at home, not at a Restaurant. It seems like they have great service on collection and delivery too. As noticed those takeaway orders kept coming non-stop, during our visit.
Pizzas (hot and fresh):
Key ingredient on this one after winning dough of course in the Italian tomato sauce, with authentic mozzarella with aromatic Parmesan & Basil leaves. It’s the most comforting slices of Pizza I have had elsewhere in the Capital. It was crispy wooden base and richness on stuffing. 5/5
Chicken Pizza Pollastrona
A little alteration to Margherita with grilled chicken chunks and over roasted bell peppers, guess what for the first time I like those glazed red onions on my pizza with olives.
The last but not the least; I haven’t read any review of this pizza so far from this chain. It’s underrated compared to its true taste. It’s indeed a hidden gem with so much of feast on it, and each is keeping its individual taste intact. Bravo to0 chef for keep time track where you get to get the complete essence of meat;s, beef pepperoni, chicken, turkey ham(unique and different touch) and mixed bell peppers with Onions.
I love their pizzas, they were very delicious and made up with all that fresh ingredients. The coal-cooked thin pizza crust was indeed the secret to me opening up my appetite and giving the thumbs up to each Pizza I tasted at this joint. They also have organic, gluten-free and whole wheat options to try as well.
Lasagne is very nice.I can taste the freshness of the ingredients from homemade Bolognese & béchamel sauce. It was not a very small portion not so huge. Kids devoured creamy chicken penne pasta, as it is not too bland and not too savory. As an adult, I believe it was still missing that WOW factor.
Appetizers were average howeI haven’t tried any bread or focaccia. Potato Croquettes are one good option if you are hungry and also would like to try something before those yummy pizzas, so I went for it. They were quite delicate with good size cheddar stuffing. Next up was Insalata Caprese, with Tomato slices and buffalo Mozzarella, though I love the extra virgin Olive oil and pesto dressing fume. Still, the cheese is a bit runny for my liking. Look quotient could majorly enhance by a selection of slightly reddish tomatoes.
In Salads, we have tried Balsamic with fresh Spinach, Rocca leaves & cherry tomatoes. It was very healthy & green with pine seeds gave that required crunch.The balsamic vinegar they used is divine.
The chocolate fondant was truly decadent. I enjoyed rich flavor with a pudding like gooey center. It was moist and rich and indeed velvety dark, pleasant chocolate. Their freshly In-house daily made Tiramisu was worth mentioning too, Coffee and Mascarpone cheese did wonders for that item. I’m getting hungry just thinking about it.
Fresh and rustic food with some unique elements, few items we tried to order were out of stock which was the only turndown. All in all, they surely serve great Italian pizzas in town with great taste and generous toppings. Keep it up pizza 800! Highly recommended.
