The ” BBQ & Hops ” brunch is at Kuzbara Restaurant, at one of the best from newly opened hotels last year, Marriott Downtown Abu Dhabi on Airport Road. The hotel is centrally located in the city, close to Al Wahda Mall. The entrance of the hotel is just bit tricky. However, it is fairly easy to get to the place and is very accessible from any part of the Capital and outside.
Kuzbara Restaurant, derived from word “Coriander” offers a contemporary culinary selection taking you on a journey along the Coriander trail. The moment you enter the restaurant it’s bright. Kuzbara’s live and interactive theater kitchens create a Market Place atmosphere.
I have had the pleasure of enjoying an international buffet here and found it pleasing though the menu highlighted more of Mediterranean and Middle Eastern cuisine.
Buffet & Food
I love the buffet spread and how wisely they have used up this rectangular and elongated space. The food was beautifully laid out with Beverage section offering Melon and coriander infused water and a non-alcoholic version of sangria first, followed by Hot kitchen boosting open kitchen counter with Live grills and a hot oven. I tasted the best “fall-off-from-the-bone” tender ribs in town here indeed. Perfectly cooked with apt marination, this dish solely stole the show. Other items were not any lesser in taste. Though from all it’s worth mentioning steak, chops as well as seafood barbecue due to its perfect taste and presentation.
It is very suitable for friends and families to dine-in. Don’t get swindled by the theme that it offers nothing except meat, well they have some vegetable items too plus also a decent selection and great set-up of salads and few vegetarian Indian options. You can also make a salad in your very own way counter. I love their Irish lamb, a must-try in case you like stew and curry style items with meat. The Indian Tandoori Corner is another highlight with luscious chicken and mushrooms plus tikka items.
There was an impressive combination of meat & hops. We loved the variety of Arab and Indian to American and Irish all styles meat cooking items were on the buffet, plus loads of options for savory confectionary items like muffins and puffs, you really cannot go wrong.
Towards the end of the spread in the most beautiful section of desserts. It has many kinds of sweets. Ranging from Apple crumble to Gulab jamun, bread pudding to Umm Ali and many French pastries and cakes. Ice Cream counter is ultimate treat for kids and adults equally (I felt like a kid in a sweet shop choosing my toppings from choco crunchies till gummies) believe me, they have never ending list of options and lip smacking ice-cream flavours.
The atmosphere and food were amazing & cheerful with succulent hops. Overall I was jubilant with our experience and would go again. It’s an enjoyable way to launch the weekend, right start from Thursday night. Luminous and stretched sitting area, dynamic & varied BBQ / Meat options displaying neat and scrumptious culinary dealings by chefs, staff hospitality and warm gesture plus the selection of fresh ingredients are the factors that made this evening exquisite. I only missed cheesecake and Sliders. Prime Rib was to die for and is a must-try.
