A Bespoke Culinary Experience – The St. Regis Saadiyat Brunch

What

The St. Regis Saadiyat’s famous and now the most “sorted out in town” Friday Brunch offering diners a wide menu and live music by Souled-Out .

The location

Mediterranean Inspired Olea is the all-day dining venue of The St. Regis Saadiyat Island Resort. Located on the level one with a panoramic view of the ocean and beyond. This restaurant features most noteworthy cooking stations which is another unique highlight of the BRUNCH.

Atmosphere:

Away from the hum of traffic and highway, this is an ideal location to spend Friday afternoon with family or friends. The band was the perfect choice for Blues fans, especially the jazz tunes they were playing were soothing and was neither too loud nor too quiet.

The food

The menu is grand comprising of many sections like, Rotisserie road, hunters strip, Garden grove, seafood square, dessert Island (my kids fav), Island Bar, That & Tropical bar, a separate sushi counter and a dedicated cold island and salad counter, kids area, Live foie gras station, cheese cellar, meat carvery at 5 & 55th plus BBQ and others. So you decide on these things from all course to indulge in, it was indeed impossible to try out each and every option still we tried our best to try out as many varieties in cuisine ranging from International, Indian, Arabic & Thai. I was still getting “food-envy” over my dining partners Mr. K’s choice, choosing just apt. items from LIVE stations.

Overall staff, keeping with the St Regis service tradition, await guests’ every whim. With its indoor and alfresco options, it is ideal for a relaxing dining experience with family or friends. Hence large groups of friends and families were there with a packed room and buzzing with activities and requirement but kudos to very active staff dealing with all needs with smile and dedication.

There are a smashing terrace and a chilled vibe overall which favors quality with immense quantity of food. The desserts and cheese selection is also a great way to go out with a large bang. I & Mr. K did sit ourselves down for some quality nosh while the kids hang out at Kid’s space, just a few meters away, behind the dessert island.

This children’s entertainment zone boasts cartoon display, games and more. This is indeed a delicious Friday occasion. The highlight of the brunch was fishing a terrific floating dessert overflowing stream enjoying the Phishy Ice-cream.

Who is it for?

This brunch would be best suited for family and Friends, well suited for large gatherings too and of course for all of those simply looking for good food.

The verdict

Our Friday was celebrate in a stylish atmosphere created by live music Band at Oléa as we enjoy this bespoke culinary experience, a unique variety from 55&5th The Grill, Sontaya & Turquoiz paired with an exclusive beverage. This buzzy occasion brings together all of the hotel’s restaurants, into one huge foodie delight. Highly recommended Friday Brunch in the Capital indeed, infact one of the best we had in City.

The St. Regis Saadiyat Friday Brunch is a lovely way to wind down from a busy working week and start relaxing into your weekend.
