Biryani-e-Khaas at India Palace

Celebrating the heritage, the diversity, and the richness

.

India Palace is an award-winning homegrown restaurant brand of SFC Group. It’s the largest authentic fine-dining restaurants chain with outlets all across the UAE. The cuisine of India Palace has been inspired by the essence of Indian North West frontier traditions. The menu is a coming together of ancient culinary secrets, long forgotten herbs and exotic flavors to pamper the palate. The lingering aroma of deliciously prepared fine and exotic cuisine is formulated by guarded secret recipes handed down from the royal Mughal kitchens. Recently they have launched the much-awaited Biryani-e-Khaas, the gala of authentic heritage biryanis, Mahiblog was amongst the first few to try their special festival menu upon exclusive invitation at India Palace in Dalma Mall, Abu Dhabi.

A special menu launched is specifically designed to highlight the flavors and variety of biryanis found across the different regions; each packed with its own spices and flavor profile. The menu boasts four outstanding biryanis and select desserts that complement one another and pleases the palate. Guests can avail of this limited-edition menu till the end of May. The 4 variety of Biryani includes:

Biryani-e-Khaas

Noor Mahal Biryani: A treat for the eyes; this gorgeous dish emulates the royal beauty with stuffed chicken koftas tossed in aromatic sauce. Oh, and by the way, this one is named after the Noor Mahal Palace and did surprise us as being a truly royal dish.

Murgh Coorgi Biryani: Experience the heavenly taste of a unique biryani prepared with juicy chicken & freshly grinded whole spices. It was a reminiscent of the rich aromatic desi spices and scenic coorg, though I found black peppercorn taste over empowering in first few bites, but coconut hint did help to tame it down.

Bohri Chaamp Biryani: A meat lover’s delight, this splendid dish is prepared with spicy Bohri Masala blended with mutton chops & marinated for a whole day. This one is my favorite and margination with green chilis did speak bold and loud in each bite ! Made my day 🙂

Subz Qabuli Pulao: This famed Afghani delicacy is a mix of rice, warm spices & Chana dal, decorated with caramelized fruits & vegetables. This reminds me of my childhood memories where mom uses to make chana daal qabooli, and we used to enjoy it with green mint and coriander chutney.

.

It doesn’t end there, a sweet indulgence in the form of traditional Indian dessert – Falooda ensures that the meal ends on a sweet note.

On the launch of the much-anticipated Biryani-e-Khaas Menu, Mr. K. Muraleedharan, Chairman & Managing Director said, “India Palace as a brand echoes the tradition and cultural heritage of India adorned by the royalty, richness, and diversity of flavors found across the country. Biryani-e-Khaas is an extension of our commitment of introducing the flavors of India, in all its glory to the residents of UAE.” He further added, “The selection of the biryanis to be included in the special menu for Biryani-e-Khaas took months of research in finalizing the four that we have today. Each dish speaks of the region it represents, the diversity in the spices used and the type of rice and meat used.”

The Biryani-e-Khaas special menu will be offered across India Palace Outlets in the UAE until the end of May 2017 before they launch their yummilicious Ramadan menu, so go visit them don’t miss this opportunity.
