Cafe Palmier – Seafood & Indian Night review plus GIVEAWAY

.

Café Palmier comes from the French word ‘Palmier’ for the ‘palm tree,’ a palmier is a sweet puff pastry popular in most parts of Europe. This name especially suits the restaurant because of its connection to Arabian culture, where the palm is the best known and most extensively cultivated plant family. By establishing a link to the Middle East, Café Palmier’s aim is to create a service philosophy that is modern and European, yet rooted in tradition. We tasted 2 of the specialty themed dinner buffets at Café Palmier last week at the stunning property of LeRoyal Meridien Abu Dhabi.

Crackers and Claws Seafood Night

I liked the variety of options of seafood night, which is a treat. I love the fact that choice of pasta was also available for my picky kids to enjoy initially until they got familiarize with the theme.  I love the Sushi Bar as my parent were in town and accompanied us too they also enjoyed the seafood grill beside the pool area. Freshly grilled seafood was available on request. In fact I loved the concept of the Live grill in the form of seafood market over their outdoor terrace. The desert section had an amazing variety as well and looked really appetizing. I tried the chocolate mouse and tiny cakes. They were both quite delicious. Overall a great place for seafood dinner buffet in this prize.

Verdict:

The place is cozy, comfortable and clean. Service has warmth and attention. Their Crackers and Claws seafood night has a vast array of fresh seafood including, Lobster BBQ, chilled shellfish, hot seafood appetizers, entrees and fabulous desserts and is a must try as it will surely satisfy your taste buds.

Streets of India

.

The venue was decked as per the Indian Street Food Theme with colorful table mats & Indian flag been displayed. The restaurant is brimming with desi food smell all around and is visually vibrant with the diversity of items. Being a vegetable lover, I  was quite delighted with the variety of salads available. With so much green there was delicious hummus and fattoush available too. Indian theme night at Le royal Meridien Abu Dhabi was a grand affair with 5+ live stations, street food stalls, tandoori and Kebab stations & delectable and wide ranged desserts section.

Verdict:

Streets of India theme Night at Café Palmier has a variety of South Indian & North Indian items to enjoy from. We also got fond of their Live Dosa, Somosa plus Chaat stations, while the Tandoor section, on the other hand, hosted a wide variety of bread with Tandoori Meat Skewers. Background music was very well sorted, I only missed on some biryani variety. Oh and the masala chai is a must try to finish off this desi treat in a grand way!

All in all it was a joyful buffet dinner, delight in a dimension of interactive cuisines be is seafood or Indian cuisine, as the chefs create mouth-watering delicacies using fresh, seasonal produce and make the most of every moment.
