Dish Dash- Delightful Lebanese food.

If you are looking for one of the best Lebanese food in the Capital, then Dish Dash restaurant is a must. The restaurant probably seats 60-75. During our visit, it was nearly full on terrace due to lovely weather. We preferred inside seating then seeing dancing fountain through their floor to ceiling glass windows. After being seated at the spot of our choice right away we took a quick rundown through the menu. Our welcome by the Supervisor & Manager was pleasant and humble from arrival till farewell.

Location & Shisha-factor:

Shisha is an excellent grabbing factor at this restaurant, especially if you go in good weather sit outside and enjoy the dancing fountain. Being a shisha-holic, Mr. K  has smoked shisha in many restaurants. However, he can comfortably agree that the shisha served at dish dash stands out. The extraordinary scene of Yas fountain makes it an ideal place to enjoy Lebanese delicacies.

Food:

Cold appetizers were classy and dainty. They indeed make the best hummus and baba ganouj; you must try vine leaves too. Their fattoush has the freshest ingredients, with plenty herbs. Grilled halloumi was a tad bit tough; batata harra was excellent with crispy potato cubes. Mixed Fatayer was very crispy.

We also tasted sujouk i-e meat with fresh tomatoes baked fresh in the oven, Yummy! Blue Ocean (Pina colada style) & four seasons (mix fruit cocktail) were our favorite refreshing juices with a lovely hint of sweet and sourness. Pasta was a bit oily for our liking. Disha Dash also offers oven baked pizzas to chose from, in case you are visiting with a group where some would prefer to have non-Arabic food.

In main, Lebanese staple items were prepared proficiently, and with fresh (and local) ingredients. The meat was cooked to perfection, not overcooked and not undercooked. My experience with their dish dash special mix grill platter was very modest, fresh bread & pickles sides were good too. Crispy fries and Garlic sauce made it more likeable item.

Prawns we tasted both ways Fried & Grilled, the seasoning was memorable, and I’d gladly have it again on my next visit though would prefer it warm and hot. The only put off factor was the cold temperature of Prawn when they arrived at the table.

In sweets, we tried Kunafa. It was particularly good because it’s not cloyingly sweet. Warm chocolate fondant with ice cream was an extremely addictive combination and Dish Dash indeed serve one of the best version in town. They also serve the best latte and Morrocan tea for your post food social gathering.

Verdict:

It iss an amazing Lebanese food concept located at the end of the promenade in Cascade Dining in Yas mall.  Food selection is superb and delicious to taste both the appetizers and main courses. I cannot wait to get back! The staff was nice, friendly & polite too :). Their good service, start from our welcome till the farewell is what make the place memorable for MahiBlog. Thanks to the PR Agency, outlet management and his team for extending one of the best dining experience we had.
