Fifth Street Café: A must stop and eat Neighborhood Eatery Conveniently located on 5th street on ground floor at “Courtyard by Marriott Abu Dhabi” with in the vicinity of the mall, this place is indeed a hidden Gem. It is a great spot for breakfast, whether you are in for a light treat or a hefty perfect meal i-e throughout the day. It is a cocoon for your ‘me and moi’ time, as well as great spot for those monthly meet-up with a group of friends. This casual yet very peaceful haven serves the best comfort food I had ever tasted elsewhere. Seating is very comfy with a varied set-up of high chairs and sofas along with fixed egg shaped hanging pods. Garden colored and mixed and mild décor set-up literally give this venue a neighborhood café guise. It’s bright and shiny during the day, with lots of natural elements along with brewing coffee smell. Here is your chance to WIN dine in voucher worth Aed 200 to spend at this Café (CLICK HERE)
I’ve been to this restaurant twice in last week. We enjoyed prime feast (i-e breakfast) and believe me it’s nothing short of outstanding. The omelets were superb with best French Toast in Dhabi town. Egg Avocado is definitely a hit with runny yolk inside the poached eggs served on toasted brown bread. This version is unique with Shiso cress and cottage cheese. We also tried “The Complete” as name suggested it was whole meal with 2 eggs (made as per your style choice), spice beef sausages, turkey bacon, roasted potatoes wedges, mushrooms with herbs and tomatoes. Very healthy with perfect seasoning. Greatest of all breakfast I’ve had in years.
We also had an early dinner once, everything was so fresh and tasty. They have fantastic service, good sized portions, and were really accommodating for taste preferences. Two of us had differing orders which came to us in under 10 minutes. 1st was Fish & chips as expected it was nice crispy battered fried white fish. I loved the mushy peas sauce variation with the dish. 2nd was steak and mushroom pie with angus beef and ragout was stuffed with creamy potatoes on top. Baked with golden brown color of top and equally good in taste. Once you dig in you won’t stop. Caprese Salad was another most fresh item and a great vegan option we tried on menu. It was a basic, simple and yummiest take on classis buffalo mozzarella with basil pesto and balsamic reduction. Ultimate taste was a true indication of their fresh ingredients choice.
Pretty much everything on the menu we tried was good, prices are reasonable. They have “Monthly Chef’s special” promotion running where you can enjoy family breakfast & kids will eat for free. Also their healthy and light new dishes like classic Gazpacho soup & pan seared red snapper are gazing this summer.
Lastly the luscious desserts arrived on yellow glass slab. These mini pastries were thoughtfully personalized. It looks appealing and was yummy in taste. Thanks to Pastry Sous Chef Deepu Kurup aka ‘Sweet Talker’ for some delicious box of goodness with special treats, we took home. This whole concept of the café is being developed by staff team at restaurant itself and is first of it’s kind. Hence it makes me feel good supporting a non-franchise joint, reflecting true Courtyard hospitality. I Love this place due to Incredible breakfast like eggs avocado and salads & for its hospitable and courteous service (thanks Stas! and staff) Highly recommended!!
