We visited Galito’s at Dalma Mall; the branch size is quite reasonable. There is plenty of tables available if you’d like to eat in, but takeout and delivery are also an option. For family and me it’s hard not to like Portuguese style chicken and peri goodness. Hence we loved this joint as well.
The food came out promptly from the kitchen and was pleasurable and hot. Grillers are placed in front, and you can see all of happening from an open kitchen counter. While out two healthy salads Beans & Rocca arrive at the table, we ordered two from Peri Munchies, i-e Chick-e-naise (toasted garlic bread with the cheesy wicked combination on top) & from their newly introduced range we tried ‘Chicken Sosaties.’ Next up was flame grilled BBQ flavored boneless chicken thigh cubes skewered with dry apricots and were served along with creamy bbq dip. The sauce was so delicious however skewer did not impress us a lot in taste. Salads too were healthy and fresh.
From Galito’s special range we tried Beef Boerewors, these South African farmer’s sausages are handmade with potato mash, healthy beans with garlic dash, glazed white onions, and chakalaka sauce. I love the taste and quality of sausage meat. It is mild in spice level but yet perfect in taste. Next up for taste is the showman’s best entry i-e Combotada. We opted for same as we were craving for Chicken as well as prawn espetada and nothing can be apter then go big bang with combotada mix option. It has one skewer of chicken and prawn each.
From the sharing platter, we tasted Good times feast with one full chicken, four sides, and two garlic bread. The chicken was done well and was not burnt but need more sauce on it when being grilled. As for the sides, we tried Peri fries, grilled mushrooms, coleslaw & corn on the cob and loved all four especially the coleslaw was quite good too.
The Wagyu beef sandwich was very good as you could feel the meat and cheese both. The patty made of pure premium wagyu beef was cooked well. It was thoroughly seasoned with South African spices with the addition of mayo, lettuce, tomato, pickles and cheese. They did take the flavoring into consideration seriously here.
Rice with juicy chicken strip was an ultimate fulfillment for kids. Their sauces taste very different and are exquisite. That was the highlight of the meal here; my personal favorite was lemon and herb. I loved kiwi mojito & melon teasers in mocktails.
Last but not the least were desserts; nothing can top the list than this Sticky toffee pudding. We have heard so much of recommendation for the same and can certainly tell that why is it so famous now after tasting it. This gooey and soft centered pudding is rich in toffee and dates taste and went perfectly with vanilla ice cream melting on the warm sponge. My 2nd favorite was double chocolate fudge cake which finishes off the entire meal on a sweet fudgy note.
This place has great chicken, and their peri fries are quite delicious. The portions are big and filling. The food which they serve us is never dry or burnt. Stephanie is a great host along with Chef Edward in the kitchen. The service is good and pretty quick.
