Genghis Grill – Memorable Iftar sharing moments

Genghis Grill is officially Abu Dhabi’s favorite ‘Build your own Bowl’ pan-Asian restaurant, which is one of the many reasons we were thrilled to visit there. Luckily we received an invite and could contain our excitement while we recently enjoyed a hearty Iftar with loved ones there.. Sharing and giving are two important pillars that the holy month of Ramadan teaches everyone. Sundown bring that sharing time of Iftar which is well celebrated at this place.

In a true celebration of food and culture inspired by Ramadan’s true spirit of giving and sharing, Genghis Grill has designed a special menu that aims at sharing meals and moments to satisfy every palate.

Khan’s Coach was ready with its troop to serve a hearty Iftar feast to us after breaking the fast in a healthy way with dates, refreshing rooh afza, and complimentary rice crackers. As a soup lover I love the traditional Lentil soup however I dwell after seeing lemon coriander soup but guess what to my surprise it was very light, aromatic and delicious and easily substitute the hunger for soup.

Next up was a selection of i-e ’Char Siu Bao (steamed BBQ Chicken Buns) – a must try, ’Vegetable and glass noodle spring rolls’ and ’Minced beef and corn satay with rich peanut sauce’ and a good portion of refreshing, healthy and scrumptious “House salad in Seaseme Honey dressing’ made the Genghis Grill way with fresh vegetables and home-made dip.

Though we felt stuffed by now but we had to savor the appetite for the main course, the troop offered the famous ’Kung Pao Chicken’ and ’Coconut lemongrass Fish Curry’ (my favorite) accompanied with ‘Tofu & green bean in sweet soy sauce’, ’Hakka noodles’ and ’Steamed rice/egg fried rice’

Lastly, Genghis hospitality was completed on a  sweeter note where we tasted Nutella Pie & Banana cheesecakes instead of regular iftar desserts. We also did the tasting for new & yet-to-be-introduced to menu fusion sweet from Thailand and Philippines, The Halo Halo. It was a very satisfying dish.

All in all, it was a great experience. The hospitality and warmth in addition to the delectable menu are sure to make Genghis Grill our favorite Iftar destination this Ramadan. My little munchkin made sure to hit the gong after this splendid experience Genghis way, I can’t wait to visit again for detailed review other than Ramadan offerings.
