Gourmet Burger Kitchen – Hidden Gem (Burger Joint) in town

Gourmet Burger Kitchen is all about the burger with homely touch of love and care. They use freshest ingredients and create classic and innovative taste combinations to make the ‘best burgers in town’. Almost everything served to us was made to order. The burgers were seemed to be made with special care and attachment. They have hard-working and fun-loving team who took pride in serving all guests an awesome food, each time we visit.

We were invited to be spoiled for choice with their mouth-watering new menu that undeniably tempted our taste buds. The menu contained exciting new additions such as the Smoked Barbeque Burger, sliders and a number of healthy options for the fitness conscious. Their salad is beautifully visually as well as in taste. In addition, GBK continues to delight its customers with it ‘Kids Eat Free’ policy at all outlets. Customers can avail a free kid’s meal for children under the age of 12 years for every adult size burger purchased. The brand’s Junior Menu is great for little tots with classic burger or chicken tenders option in smaller portion sizes.

We visited GBK – Abu Dhabi Mall while sampling the new menu, in charge Deepak Negi and his team hosted us. First item arrived on table itself was a show stealer, yes that famous bucket of peanuts, munching on them we didn’t realize the waiting time for our order at all which itself past so quickly. Order came to the table in no time.

We started off with halloumi and strawberry salad with the crunch of pine nuts. It was brought to the table in full freshness, taste and quality. Salad came along with GPK platter consisting of Hot wings, home-made onion rings and yummy halloumi cheese bite. From new menu range we tried Golden Fried Shrimps with smoked chili mayo, Crispy and appetizing. I love the fact how their salad and starters are loaded with delicious ingredients; they are surely an option for those on a break from the burger.

 

For the uber-heathy, GBK’s Bunless tenderloin burger was also very yummy and tender, as sides we chose mashed potato gravy and homeslaw. It is the perfect go-to that comes with other healthy low-carb sides like green salad & Grilled veggie skewers.  Gourmet Burger kitchen use 100 percent prime Australian Angus beef.

 

In case you still prefer with bun, the exciting additions to the new menu like the succulent fillet steak burger or sumptuous hot smoked barbeque burger in beef, allow you to indulge in a rush of flavoursome goodness. It contains of smoked chilli mayo, barbecue & chilli salsa, American cheese, jalapeños and salad. It was prepared with the finesse and expertise accumulated over years of experimentation.

 

We also savour Multi burger, Mix & Match option with GBK’s new mini burgers that offer a sampling of three different sliders i-e classic, cheese/blue cheese and Hot smoked & spicy BBQ. For the brave amongst us, the tantalizing Jalapeno Overload, with fresh, pickled and fried jalapenos guarantees a tango for the taste buds. It is a treat for American cheese lovers who want to challenge themselves with some extra heat. Oh it comes with chili as treaty flag on top of bun. Health conscious customers will not be left wanting as the latest menu offers fresh Quinoa and Goat Cheese salads along with the option to swap your burger bun to a whole-wheat bun or lettuce wrap instead.

In desserts we tried their famous chocolate fondant, Apple pies (too sweet) and Salted caramel cheesecake. We liked fondant the most and will surely try that next time for dessert too, it was a show stopper indeed.
