Khalidiya Palace Rayhaan by Rotana in collaboration with the Leading Arab Organizing Committee TESSA LTD hosted the opening ceremony for the unique festival competition of choreographic collectives and vocal performers in the UAE – Dancing and Singing Emirates on January 6th, 2016. (Click HERE). This International Event was designed to give a platform for young performers and bring the community together in a fun and safe environment, and to support great creative potentials.
During the Opening Ceremony with the “Parade of the Arts” the audience was able to enjoy the 15 talents from all over the world mainly from Russia, UAE and Kazakhstan who sang some of the most famous musical pieces: Waltz from the ‘Sleeping Beauty’ by Tchaikovsky, ‘Agent 007’, ‘Don’t Speak’ of No Doubt and many others.
“Khalidiya Palace Rayhaan by Rotana was delighted to support this great festival, a unique event for the entire family which features performances that are seldom seen elsewhere in the Middle East which represents great care for young people with talents, propagation of peace, joy and friendship by means of dance, singing and culture. The ceremony’s atmosphere was joyful and merry. Guest were entertained by dancing and singing troops from different cultural and ethnical backgrounds, and got the chance to learn a few new dance moves or lyrics.

This festival definitely develops the intercultural relations with the countries of the Middle East and other countries. In fact, a great intensification of cultural exchange as well as new conditions for closer communication between different participants of the festival was seen. Khalidiya Palace Rayhaan by Rotana is committed to supporting the various disciplines of art including performing arts, film, and literature, thus establishing the Hotel as the vibrant hub of culture and the arts in the region.
The General Director of Tessa Company, Yelena Seredina, and the representatives of the Festival’s Partners wished good luck to all the participants for the competition, which was held in the Grand Concert Hall of the Armed Forced Officers Club on January 7th, 2016 and confirmed that the event was even more successful than expected.
