Iftar at Tresind

The ambiance, the service, and the food the foremost makes you feel nothing less than electrifying yourself. Tresind is truly an extraordinary dining experience, perhaps one of the best meals I have ever had. This is a good place to experience a wide variety of Indian starters, curries, Modern Indian fusion food, Unique desserts and so on.

They also offer a wide range of vegetarian and non-vegetarian Indian food. Molecular Gastronomy is a specialty. However keeping pace with the holy month of giving and simplicity, they kept the menu subtle with no on table gimmicks and rather kept a set version of iftar hours offering on your table.

So upon arrival we were taken to our seats and table was preset with Iftar Amuse Bouche – Tresind Version starting from date candy with popping sugar thin coated wrapping which is edible. Over the pretty log plate, we have two different dishes the compact fruit salad named as Dragon Fruit Chaat (Being served in Dragon Fruit shell) and a bite size Caesar salad where everything was placed on top of iceberg lettuce in the form of dressing making a perfect Salad Canape. Covering the bread portion we had Zaatar Focaccia bread with hummus, Stuffed Cheese Olives & Sweet peppers.

The Kebab Platters were amazingly flavorful and attractively presented the service was outstanding. First came in green dressed up plate was the most succulent and tender tandoori lamb chop. This was also the highlight is the evening with rosemary reduction. The chop has to empower taste of tandoori masala which is so pleasant and if you want to cut down on those rich spice level (again we don’t mean chili when we say spice here) just swirl through your plate to stick on than fresh green chutney (sauce) and it gives you entirely new palette to taste on.

Chicken seekh kebab in skewers was to arrive next, being juicy and basic it won over our taste buds.

To take a quick shift to the more finess version we were presented with tandoori prawn and hollandaise foam. Again the combination of the two was little meek to my desi tang, but the prawns were so well done and coated with tandoori masala that I couldn’t just stop tossing it down in no time.

Last but not the least in Kebab marathon was Wagyu boti kebab, it was delicious however was not required much after sufficient meat enthrall post-iftar. We also had some naan which tasted fresh and hot.

We also enjoyed a selection of Biryanis i-e Lamb, Chicken, and prawn. Our favorite was Prawn biryani, selection of curries also arrived at the table together with the rice, and it consisted of Butter chicken, Kerala fish moilee, and Rajasthani Lal Maas.

Butter chicken at Tresind is our all time favorite but this time what grasp our attention was coconut based fish. Very detectable and delicate in flavor, this is a winner amongst curries.

Last but not the least was a Mithai platter which is a mini sweet shop. Having our usual favorite Daulat ki chaat and ghevar tart (with rabari mousse and raspberry rose sphere) in a miniature form,  it also has jalebi coated in white chocolate, ras malai with coconut sponge as the base and gulab jamun. Their cute flower bus of candy floss is a universal charmer ay Tresind.

Over all the experience was very pleasant. We were taken care by Mr. Praful who went that extra mile to make us feel the special one and bringing kids favorite deconstructed black forest bake as a closure surprise out of the Ramadan menu. In all, it is always a delight to visit this finest fine dining restaurant. The biryani was very flavorful. Tresind Restaurant for us has always been more than just the food they serve it’s those memories we carry along with us post visit and they stay as fond food visuals over the dinner table with the family forever.
