Iftar at Hilton Abu Dhabi

HILTON ABU DHABI, the historic hotel at the Corniche brings back Ramadan vibes at La Terrazza restaurant featuring traditional Middle Eastern delicacies. La Terrazza, the all-day dining restaurant at Hilton Abu Dhabi hosted us at Iftar buffet. Featuring a variety of cuisines and traditional Ramadan favorites like hummus, moutabel, tabbouleh, fattoush, babganoush and vine leaves are served as cold starters. The highlight of the menu, however, was the grilled quail with roasted peppers and the range of hot mezzeh and traditional lamb ouzi. There is a wide range of bread and fresh fruits. For desserts, there are popular treats like umm ali, and katayef.

Salad counter is vast. It balances the tucked away mains, which were presented in the dark corner of the hall placed in the catering style dishes and didn’t impress me of décor-wise keeping in view the everlasting impression of La Terraza. Lamb Majbous and Sumak Fish was my favorite amongst all.

The Iftar buffet is priced at AED 175* per person.Compare to last year I found the buffet a slight compact and limited. Children between the age of 6 and 12 years can dine for AED 85* per child, while those aged five and below can dine for free.

To experience the true spirit of Ramadan, you may also visit the grand Suhoor tent at the Beach Garden which will be open from 9pm until 2am from Saturday to Wednesday, and until 3am on Thursday and Friday. They will have a round of small bites, an a la carte menu and an oud player performing live.
