Team Mahi Blog had the pleasure of being invited to try the Iftar menu before Ramadan at Centro Sharjah along with the bunch of fellow foodies and amazing and talented bloggers. The fashionably up to date lifestyle business hotel, is in close proximity of Sharjah International Airport. It was great opportunity to take a sneak peek into auspicious holy month offering at c.taste restaurant for a momentous Ramadan celebration with a wide-spread of International cuisine and a unique blend of traditional Emirati, Syrian, Jordanian, Egyptian and Palestinian dishes on rotation basis on different days.
I started off with the cold and Hot mezzeh starters. The full serving dishes were brought to the table as well as bloggers were more than welcome to take directly from the open buffet. Hareesa was brought fresh to the table and was brimming with the soft and wheaty goodness of the healthy items, and a sprinkle of coriander and spices on top. The buffet also included a variety of salads, many of which were Arabic & fresh veg salads. Lentip Soup was yummy too.
The mains were mainly continental and Arabic though Indian inspired cuisine was well prepared and presented too. Potato Gratin & pasta were good options for those tiny kids along with you in family this Ramadan. Dessert was a treat to watch and is loaded with pretty sugary goodness alongside the decorated cake which have been decorated during the theme fun activities organized via Hotel along with JWD – Blogger’s night Ramadan themed cake decorating contest. Winning team won the prizes.

Ramadan Art Competition is another attraction during the season and a great contribution cause. Centro Sharjah partnered with Manzil Center for children with special needs to conduct an art competition with the students by giving them a theme ‘Ramadan in Sharjah’. It was lovely to see one of the drawings been used and displayed via their Centro Sharjah Ramadan promotion on our table too.
As the winning designs from the competition were selected to feature as art design for the Ramadan Brochure showcasing the Iftar & Suhoor offerings at the Hotel. Through a gallery set up all the designs created shall be showcased in the hotel’s lobby during Ramadan. It’s a great gesture and initiative indeed by the management.
Every Ramadan, Centro collaborates with the Sharjah Old Peoples home to organise an Iftar gathering for the elderly. During the Iftar Gathering, management not only serves food to the elders but are actively involved in interacting with them, entertaining them and instilling a sentiment of belonging.
