Khalidiya Palace Rayhaan by Rotana is conveniently located in the popular Abu Dhabi area, 30 minutes’ drive from the Abu Dhabi International Airport and a few minutes away from largest malls in the capital and point of cultural interest near break water. This Hotel features a complete list of amenities; hence guests will find their stay at the property a comfortable one.

Hotel Stay & Room Amenities

Khalidiya Palace Rayhaan by Rotana　is the first property to open in Abu Dhabi under Rayhaan Hotels & Resorts by Rotana brand.　The 5-star property　offers 443 superbly designed rooms and suites with stunning views, overlooking the sea with their modern design complementing the values of the contemporary Arabian Culture, in an alcohol free environment.

 

We planned our Family stay for 2 nights, upon our arrival we were greeted well and was taken to our room. The room had a very relaxed and comfortable feel, featuring television with a wide variety of international channels, minibar, bathroom and shower, bathrobes, daily newspaper, ironing facilities, coffee/tea maker, and in room safe. Bathrooms are elegantly designed with a private bath and a separate spacious walk-in shower, with all the basic toiletries available. One of the best thing about the hotel was the large pool area and the fact that it is beside the sea

 

Luckily our room got a great view overlooking the pool. Emirates palace worth a look too from Khalidiya Palace Rayhaan by Rotana　and if you get a view overlooking it which was the case with us when we were been upgraded next day in a Classic Suite was surely an eye candy. In the suite we of course had a bigger area and sitting room as kids have accompanied us. Our room was on a higher floor hence we cherish a lovely view of the Arabian Sea and The Palaces from there and loved every bit of the stay.

 

Our stay was made extra special by the Hotel Staff who graciously arranged a surprise birthday treat for my daughter. The children also enjoyed the kids Zumba classes offer by a professional Zumba trainer.

 

Recreation Site and Pool Side

After relaxing for few hours we decided to challenge our long day fitness capacity and visited state-of-the-art ‘The Beach Club’ Health and Fitness Centre, Jacuzzi, and Steam Room. We also enjoyed the　wide range of activities　proposed by their recreational staff around the　stunning pool. Mini massages (back/neck and shoulders in just 50 dhs) being my favorite as it literally made me dropped by my feet. Pool side at this hotel was stunning and one of our favorite amongst all the hotels we have visited. A separate kids’ pool & outdoor temperature controlled swimming pool, one of the largest in the city makes it favorite amongst the residents.

Dining Options and Food review

We went on board in a gastronomic journey at their diverse dining outlets and gratified our taste buds. Facing the huge pool is Kamoon Restaurant which is a refurbished eatery and it truly  invites you to experience authentic Arabic flavors (Read our full review and Win a table for 2 at Kamoon here)  while Horizon all-day dinning venue, offers international Cuisine in a contemporary and elegant atmosphere as well as some versatile themed buffet nights. Located in the lobby, The lounge offers light meals or sweet delights for you cravings with stunning views of the pool, it is always our pleasure to just sit and relax while listening to LIVE music by a very talented performer viewing the amazing flower arrangement and stunning Gold and Bold charismatic lobby and sipping on best of the Frappuccino  and Iced tea been offer. Peachy iced tea was our favorite in cold drinks.

Reasonable and Comfortable

My experience was very pleasant. There were large rooms with sea view. The service was also very friendly and attentive attitude adds to a greater comfort level. Hotel has great facilities and close proximity to all that Abu Dhabi has to offer as it is only minutes from the Marina Mall with its choice of shops and cafes and huge supermarket etc. The Wellness and Massage of Khalidiya Palace Rayhaan by Rotana is in simple words Luxury all the way, we had our due share of pampering read here.

 

Other amenities

Fitness Centre & Personal Training:
Professional fitness, tennis, squash and swimming trainers are available to assist you all the way through achieving the highest results desired, along with a wide variety of weekly group fitness classes and special packages. For the truly health conscious individual who wants to feel good inside and out, fitness professionals are available to motivate you by setting goals and guide you every step of the way to ensure you achieve your goals.

Group Fitness Classes
Group Fitness offers a diverse range of class formats, including Yoga, Pilates, Pilates Reformer, Power Toning, Cardio Boxing, Boxing Circuit, Boxing Classes and indoor iCycling. Classes are offered in a motivating environment, and instructors adapt each class according to the need and skill levels of participants. Mahi Blog has recently covered the great breast cancer awareness cause based PINK PILATES event at this facility.

Gym Facilities
The Beach Club features state-of the art cardio vascular equipment including Treadmills, Cross Trainers, Rowing Machines, Steppers, Bicycles, Stair climbers and also features a wide variety of resistance training equipment and machines to get you into tip top shape ready for the beach.

Kids Entertainment:
As I have mentioned in my posts quite often that Khalidiya Palace Rayhaan by Rotana　 is family-friendly spot. Kids can have fun in their temperature controlled kids pool, located right beside the adult pool. It is shaded and is of low depth ideal for the children. Colorful playing area is also open throughout the day next to the kids pool area. It’s built safe. Kids Crèche is the place where kids can learn and have fun at the same time, so in case you have small kids and you want to drop them off for a while, it’s much convenient

Sports & Water Sports Activities
Also the Beach Club has 2 international size squash courts on rental and it also features 2 floodlit tennis courts, located in the main entrance of the hotel. Racquets are available for renting. No charges apply for each hour of usage on Ping-Pong Table and rackets. First come, first served. Apart from this Sunshine Water Sports offers a wide variety of water sports at the beach for the whole family. It is located next to the kids play area and behind the Sunset bar.

We enjoyed staying at this magnificent & memorable location　in the beautiful capital with its own white sandy beach. It was truly a cast away in the turquoise waters of the Arabian Gulf Sea.　　In the restaurant they have good food selection, pertaining to all ages and backgrounds of the clients. Reasonably priced, good for family holidays and business trips. Overall, it is an excellent hotel for a family vacation.
