We love this venue at Traders Hotel, Qaryat Al Beri, Abu Dhabi. As the weather has started setting off this place is set to become the most popular place to enjoy Fridays in the capital with its lavish new beachside BBQ. Yes! There are some major better changes from last year we have experienced. First impression of this property is breath-taking, I admire the stunning lobby of Traders Hotel upon each visit. It is one of our favourite destination to enjoy the weekend staycations, and visiting their F&B outlets mainly Afya is always a pleasure.
Firstly it has enhanced big times, its extended over a long beach area. I loved the distributed seating arrangement with table, sofas, lavish lounge furniture and cabanas which suits the requirement as per family/group size and mood. It is, so family- friendly indeed and gives families and friends a fun way to unwind in the capital over the weekend with its all-new ‘Smoking Vibes Friday Beach BBQ”.
You can enjoy with family or a group of friends at this relaxing BBQ dinner from 6 pm until 10.30pm every Friday on the Traders private beach to which guests have full day access. The menu features an expansive buffet of freshly grilled delicacies. I loved the part where we can make sure that the food is prepared to out preference at the live kitchens spread across the venue where Afyä’s chefs were showcasing their culinary skills. They were so active and welcoming plus do not hesitate to answer multiple questions from my kids while they chose their protein and were dwelling between beef or shrimps.
BBQ was undoubtedly the highlight of this foodie carnival. However, we also enjoyed a range of cold salads, pizzas, popcorn, and a dessert station including homemade cakes. The only thing I felt was limited choices here and more of Arabic taste pastries. Also, the ice-cream stand was a great attraction for kids. There were some other favorites from around the world too like Burgers, Nachos, Tacos & hotdogs. My kids have enjoyed their time thoroughly; Play area is just adjacent for them to access.
Also, the set-up is designed for both families and friends to have a fun night out together at the beach, the evening includes a range of activities for even younger kids like a bouncy castle (you can enjoy sitting around the area and see them enjoying while relishing your dinner) and face painting.
We also enjoyed fresh juices from the beach bar. Also if you are planning to give away the night, you can wind down on bean bags and sun beds. All and all this buffet was apt for diners from all backgrounds showcasing flavors from all over the world in a modern setting. You will enjoy the concept of open kitchen, which stretches nearly the entire length of the venue, giving the space a bright and lively ambiance. Cabanas would lit even better and be cozier with the introduction of a lamp/lantern to give nice ambiance and maybe a cooler or a fan till the weather get even cooler. I loved the atmosphere perfect laidback setting for the weekend, environment and the service plus food was literally top-notch.
