So Spa offers French spa experience blended with Arabian well-being traditions representing an experience where different therapies from around the world meet French expertise in cosmetology through working with some of the most prestigious brands such as Carita, Cinq Mondes, which embody French Cosmetology and “savoir-faire” concept. So Spa brand is presented in more than 28 Sofitel addresses around the world with multiple new locations underway.
They also offer a unique treatment the ‘Pregnancy Massage’ to future moms who are pregnant from three to nine months only. This treatment helps muscle tensions or water retention pregnant women experience. The treatment massages the whole body except the stomach. The massage uses special pregnancy oil from Shiffa, it is deeply nourishing organic body oil from a blend of more than 10 moisturizing base oils (borage, meadow foam and avocado oil to help prevent the appearance of stretch marks; lavender, mandarin, and chamomile help soothe and relax, while jasmine and ylang-ylang help to balance guest’s emotions).

The spa has enclosed a special treatment ‘the Royal Gold and Diamond Hammam,’ which includes a traditional Moroccan Hammam treatment with special massage, followed by the gold clay mask that has great health benefits such as helping the skin to moisturize, helping blood circulation and works on cellulite to balance the skin. The treatment ends with a unique technique massage by one of our masseuse using the Diamond Oil by Carita.
Speaking of newly added designs, So SPA prepared two own signature treatments, the So Exhilarating body massage and the So Rejuvenating facial. These treatments have been specially crafted with music and fragrances, and combined with a post-treatment tea service in the soothing surroundings of the relaxation lounge to enhance the experience for optimal comfort and perfect relaxation.

I have been invited for a special facial & massage treatment to enhance my spa experience. So Spa encouraged me to arrive 15 – 30 minutes prior to my treatment, as they asked me a couple of questions to help them to select the best treatment for me so I can enjoy an ultimate So Spa experience.
I have been asked to choose from an array of their traditional massages that nourish the body and soul. The therapist has advised me to opt for Balinese massage to get rid of stress and to feel rejuvenated; this massage relied on a combination of invigorating strokes. It combined the gentle Thai stretching techniques and movements which assisted me in deeper relaxation. It overall helped me to relieve the muscle, also encouraged me sleeping. This left my skin silky-soft because of soothing Body oil.
Next up was youthfulness Ko Bi Do Facial. It was very natural and affecting where the therapist has taken progressive steps towards anti-aging combined with facial massage technique of Japanee Ko Bi Do. The facial technique involved a lot of facelifts hence resulted in skin glow.
So Spa operates from 9am to 11pm and is located at the P7 level – Sofitel Abu Dhabi Corniche Hotel. It has 2 Traditional Hammams, steam room, Jacuzzi, outdoor pool, 4 single treatment rooms, 2 couples rooms (one room is our VIP suite which has its own private Jacuzzi area, private bathroom, and shower for males and females; Socializing Patio & the Deep Relaxation Room. So Fit gym is located near the outdoor swimming pool on Level P8.
