Yas Island Rotana is suitably situated on the magnificent Yas Island, a spectacular destination that will take you beyond your wildest dreams. A few minutes away from the Yas Marina Circuit, home to the Formula 1 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix; Yas Links Golf Club, Yas Marina, Ferrari World Abu Dhabi, Yas Waterworld, Yas Mall and Yas Beach. The hotel is 10 minutes away from the Abu Dhabi International Airport, 20 minutes to the Abu Dhabi Business district and 40 minutes from Dubai. We decided to spend a night over there with kids and enjoy our weekend.

The check in was fast and very smooth, staff were friendly who assisted us with a smile on their face though it was very hassle as we were running short of time to attend Friday brunch. Hotel Manager even gave us quick brief tour of F&B area and terrace.

Room Décor & Set-up

The hotel has 308 spacious rooms and suites which are exclusively designed with international flair to suit guests seeking privacy, personalized service and unparalleled quality. I literally loved the element of balance in construction as the room has ample of natural light piercing through glass panels while at the same time it’s so spacious and smartly designed that you don’t get the congested feeling at all.

Bed & Amenities

The bed was super nice & comfortable, as it takes me just few minutes to adjust till I dozed off peacefully and didn’t want to wake up. We love our warm welcome in the room itself with handwritten notes (they are always special to me) the mini treats and the goodie chest was very enduring and a lovely surprise. We had a beautiful living area with Sofas connected and a bed room. While the bed room have sliding door to close in case you want some peaceful time while at the same time kids are indulge in some show watching on TV.

F&B

We had our Friday Brunch at Choices, which is all day dining restaurant at the ground floor. Their food quality was very good and great variety of dishes available. I was happy to know so many choices and of course the very organized station and counters. Salad, bread, seafood, Arabic specialty, meal, desserts and pancakes have all different sections and ample staff and chefs were available for prompt service. After enjoying a quick dip into water next morning we were all set to have their breakfast again at choices restaurant, which made our Saturday even more merrier.
We notice agility and efficiency in the restaurants staff where they fold the napkins and clear the plates and table each time us and kids leave the table in spite of the full packed restaurant their services were commendable.
We are particularly happy with steak house “Blue Grill”. Yes, indeed I had the best meat cuts/steak ever at this award winning restaurant and I highly recommend this. Myself and hubby rather had our steak date over there, while kids enjoyed their in-room service menu. Started off with their complimentary baked bread with 4 different flavors everything with perfect till end. I loved the sundried tomato and Basil flavored bread. we thoroughly enjoyed our dinner at Blue Grill restaurant which is famous for main course i-e Wagyu Beef Tenderloin and Porter House from the range of American Certified Angus Beef. However, we love the entrée and appetizers too. In particular I love the chicken skewers and the tenderloin, meat was well done and constant communication between the diner and the servers will help to serve the dish as per your requirement, at preferred rear. The sauce range was classic and the cuts were fabulous. We loved those grill marks and the perfect texture of steaks along with very modest and generous sides. Though we were stuffed and were not too keen on having the dessert immediately we decided to join kids at the room while the very courteous and thoughtful staff actually offered to deliver best selection of their dessert in our room to enjoy along with kids. That really touched our hearts and made that memory extra special.  In mocktails we tried Sticky Monkey with Banana Fruit & Vanilla ice cream blend along with coconut syrup and milk. It was unique and not much heavy.

Wellness & Massage

The body and Wellness has Nice view, great spa, nice staff. Therapist was professional and have taken care of the areas been mentioned need extra care due to stress quotients. Treatment room though does miss a little on ambiance however the soothing music and the treatment will transport you into another world and will leave you at ease after it’s over. The waiting area is calm and spacious and has color strikes and element which balance the rooms to an extent. The locker facility is available for guest to secure their belonging and the helpful staff at the reception is ever ready to guide you for any query. They have separate areas and treatment rooms for men and women where my and hubby have enjoyed out treatment.
Rotana hotels are swiftly becoming our favorite Staycation venues. This property of Rotana once again has strengthened our trust in the hospitality brand making it pleasant and, we always get here what you expect.

Excursion

Courtesy Yas Island Rotana Hotel we also enjoyed at Yas Beach located at Yas Island. We were provided with free excess and towel usage at Yas Beach. Thanks for warm hospitality.

WOW Factor

Kids had their best hot chocolate ever at Choices and are ever ready to always come back to this place for this awesome treat. It was definitely a perfect ending to amazing Friday brunch
