Last Wednesday we tried Barbeque Night, an offering at 55 & 5th The Grill situated within the beautiful beachfront property of the St. Regis Saadiyat Island Resort. It is available every Wednesday from 07:00 pm to 11:00 pm at AED 275 per person.
AMBIANCE:
The terrace of the restaurant is the area where they did the outdoor set-up for BBQ Night, however if you wish you get seated inside thought I would suggest you to try the very modern and clean vibe setting outdoor. We were seated at corner raised zone with a glass table in between us giving it a very romantic & relaxed and chill vibe. They have heaters to keep you warm and their table setting will set a candle light dinner mood soon.
FOOD RUNDOWN:
We get to enjoy the choice from the outdoor live cooking stations where we handpicked our BBQ cuts from slow-cooked smoky Beef Tenderloin, Striploin, Corn-fed Chicken, Tiger Prawns, Salmon to Lamb saddle. Also we tasted Veal available that day. When it comes to carnivorous option hubby have a very hard taste to satisfy. We tried lots of restaurants though this becomes his favorite for Steaks. Their steaks were a huge Lift up, really tasty and cooked to perfection. Sauces had the best combo, and sides were decadent, I love my potato gratin. Nothing I felt was passable in menu.
The Caesar salad to start with was delicious, my husband said it was the best he’d ever had, the steak was highlight ofcourse but you can’t ignore this live prepared filling salad. We did end end it on a sweet note with the signature dessert, Exotic baba. It was pretty heavy after such meaty dinner after all. Only I wish there was one more option for the diners to chose from say a fruit platter or some light dessert.
Their moctails concotion was amazing. I cannot speak highly enough of the service and food. Well worth a visit. I would like to thank them for providing us with a great dinner experience. We did’t get out this restaurant unsatisfied and I am sure you wouldn’t as well, hence I Highly recommend you to try St. Regis Saadiyat Island’s BBQ Night.
SERVICE:
10/10. Our server went above the beyond for our service! Joshy his team, Bar staff, Chefs and other member were very attentive to our requirements and were pleasant, professional and friendly. They created some delicious personalized non-alcoholic drinks for us, which were so delicious and refreshing.
VERDICT: The Meat choice and the over all ingredients quality is amazing. Service was fantastic and the setting is as classy. Their BBQ selection were nearly perfect & made the night unforgettable.
