We had recently visited Tikka Darbar restaurant located in Khalidiya Area in Abu Dhabi. They have a kitchen restaurant with family hall updtairs. Staff is very friendly, here is our food rundown.
Chicken bites were so crunchy and flavorful. As they were served in cabbage bowls they look quite presentable too. They are introducing some. new items and fusion to the menu as well. Chef Irfan was quite creative while he presented us with this creamy chicken infused in Italian Spices. It was pretty nice and unique while being likeable in taste at the same time.
They also have quite a few gravy items on the menu. Curries though have a room for some improvement. Desi Chinese they serve is good in taste and nice in the presentation. We tried Veg fried rice and chicken shashlik. Ingredients were fresh in both the dishes and it was made with the perfect spice level.
Mutton shinwari is also a great choice while you order food at Tikka Darbar. It was delicious only I wish they would have served this into that small presentable karahi to connect it better with its tradition and cooking style. Chicken Sindhi biryani was average and missing that WOW factor, though I am looking forward to their pulao features which they are yet to introduce on the menu and we can’t wait to try.
The highlight of the evening is their star BBQ mixed platter with supreme generous serving hence it was great for sharing. Full point for royal presentation (literally a darbar sort) and tenderness. It was well spiced and smoked juicy morsels of grilled meat. Plus they were served on the bed of aromatic biryani rice. Must try and great value for money. Their Russian salad is so tasty with cottage cheese chunks inclusion for texture and taste.
All in all, it was a pleasant surprise to find the eatery in the capital. It was nice to experience variety of dishes serving Pakistani, Indian and Chinese cuisine in affordable prices with good hospitality and on prime location 📍
