Pre-starter arrived in the form of pani puri with spicy and mild shots of tamarind & guava based syrup (khatta/meetha pani). A very unusual starter, however, surprised us with its addictive taste i-e toasted bread with Spinach cream dip. At the time of our visit they were also celebrating Custard Apple festival hence offered a range of specialty fruit dishes. (themed based). We enjoyed Custard apple shake; it was thick, creamy and refreshing as well as Sita Phal Coconut breezer presented in a coconut as well.
We were served with Mix platter of their famous starters consisting of Tandoori vegetables (Broccoli, baby corn, potatoes, cauliflower), Angara and makai Seekh kebab as well as Paneer Tikka; I love Hara Masala tikki as well. It was very tasty and perfect in spices. I did not feel it any lesser than perfectly grilled bbq items. Their Dal tadka was cooked to perfection and tasted brilliant with plain steamed rice. In curries, we enjoyed Mirchi Ka Salan (Chili Gravy) In veg specialty we tasted Tawa Sabzi i-e sans gravy vegetables, I liked a bit of pickle-y hint. It was mildly spicy with the freshness of herbs on top. We opted of Green Peas Mud pot biryani; it was much more than pulao with aromatic spices and superior quality of rice resulting in an ultimate rice dish. We enjoyed the Bhindi Masala along with a selection of Indian bread before ending with a gratifying dessert.
In desserts, we tried Custard apple rabri alike kheer which was not too sweet, Gulab Jamun (perfect dessert) and Gajaraila (Carrot Halwa), it was warm and accurate in sugar level. To conclude our delicious meal kids enjoyed their handmade fresh ice-cream from addition partner Tru Frut Ice Cream.
All in all, it was a wholesome vegetarian meal. They also offer thali that provides nutritionally dense and well-balanced meals. Each thali consists of/contains a mix of green vegetables, dals (lentils), Raita (yogurt) Roti and rice.
