Ming’s Chamber

Ming’s Chamber is a homegrown concept by Tablez Food Company. We are seasoned food reviewer for almost all the restaurants by this group and actually love the general criteria of their choice of cuisines, innovation and seeking out the new concepts that in turn become an inspiring experience for us each time. The warm and big smile of the host as well the other staff was amazing. The deeply rooted concept of simplicity is displayed as an epitome in food and in honest service!

Its located in the extension section of Wahda Mall, the menu is quite detailed however well descriptive, but the knowledgeable staff always comes forward to help. Since this is our first visit after revamp and we loved their taste from a previous existence, they went all the way to ensure our latest tasting venture stays up to the mark and we got served everything top recommended on the menu.

Prawn crackers arrived as welcoming pre-starters, this one, in particular, is known as Krupuk for our appetizers. We started with classic hot & sour soup with sweet and sticky chicken wings. The soup was sensational, and Wings were dainty. Next up was our personal favorite, Prawn and Chicken Poyang – These perfectly prepared dumplings in red & bright Sichuan sauce. It literally makes up to my lost appetite for Asian food, and oh my God there is not stopping then! This is indeed one of their best sellers.

Next up were another bomb discovery Salt and pepper mushrooms. Oh my God, I can’t be more thankful ever to just randomly pick something from the menu and was happily shocked to find it so awesomely delicious. The best version of battered fried Mushrooms along with chili pepper & scallions.

We also got to try the lighter bites on the menu. Don’t be delusional by the title they offer pretty generous portion here as well. The Mings Chicken Chili was first we tried. This wok-seared bite-size chicken morcel was tossed in chili soy glaze; it’s as hot, sweet & crunchy with onions & peppers.  Sweet & Sticky chicken wings with sesame and the sweet & sour sauce was a killer combo. Hunan Lamb Ribs were double cooked with Five-spice rub served on lettuce cups with a delicious sauce to go.

For our mains, I ordered the Singapore Prawn Laksa served with tender rice stick noodles, prawns, egg. Yellow curry broth with coconut-rich in taste with the hint of basil, mint. It was a strong flavor, and coconut taste lovers will definitely like it.  Heavenly Mie Goreng i-e Indonesian Noodle Stir-Fry, with achari twist, was absolutely divine & flavorful Canton style vegetables with tofu are an ideal dish to order for vegetarians. An added bonus for Veg diners is the Thai green curry vegetarian option. Yes, it even has a choice of protein, cooked home-style with eggplant & carrot. It goes best with steamed jasmine rice, while their egg fried rice is so flavourful too.

The 2 desserts we tasted were Lemon Cheesecake and Dark Choc Brownie, and honestly, I can’t decide which tasted better.. Loved it, and highly recommended!

My self and Mr. K love Asian Food hence we have reached this venue with great expectations and guess what offered us more than we expected. The food was excellent, and the service was speedy and courteous. A great place to go for a good meal at a reasonable price. Their strength is the selection of simple ingredients which are so fresh and burst of flavors with every bite plus their honest services. There are just too many delicious options. You must visit, try and thank us laters.
