A Flavorful Culinary Indian Iftar – Peppermill

We Enjoyed an appetizing set menu at Peppermill Eastern Mangroves this Ramadan.

Peppermill, the colonial Indian dining restaurant is one of our favorite destination for Indian cuisine. We still cherish the memories and food we enjoyed during our previous visits to their branch at Peppermill Eastern Mangroves & to Peppermill DFC. Peppermill welcomes the holy month Ramadan with a special set menu and buffet menu of culinary discoveries inspired by Ramadan’s true spirit of giving and sharing.

Peppermill’s featured menus offer guests a rich spread of contemporary yet traditional Indian specialties promising a journey of fond food memories while breaking the fast. We savor the oldie Goldie dishes along with new zing in Set Ramadan Menu, at Peppermill’s Eastern Mangroves branch. They are also offering The Buffet Menu which is more elaborate with soups and salads, a variety of entrees like Seekh Kebab, Chicken Cutlet, etc. The main courses are offered through a wide choice of six delectable options, each perfect for meat lovers and vegetarians alike. This is not all; diners can end their meal with sweet varieties of Indian desserts like Rasmalai and Gulab Jamun.

Set – Menu Offerings:

On the table, we had Jalab, rose milk, mango lassi, a platter of date and some fresh cuts of fruits. Then we moved on to their famous Mulligatawany & lentil soups. Set Ramadan Menu has a selection of traditional hot, and cold starters as soup & appetizers. It was pleasant to find Mr. K’s all time favorite Fatoush Ala Indie in Salads portion on the menu along with appetizers mentioned as kebabs such as Chicken Tikki, Balai Ka Jhinga OR Tandoori Paneer Tikka, Aloo Gobi Samosa as veg options. These kebab bites were offered to provide a healthy and nourishing Iftar. The mains of succulent Paneer Makhanwala, Channa Masala are fit for Veg Lover. While a meat lover can enjoy Fish Korma and Butter Chicken.

In case you think we are done, you are mistaken as the accompaniments also came along to our table in the form of Jeera Aloo (Cumin potato) and Dal Makhani, the combination was addictive. Chicken Biryani and a selection of Peppermill desserts called “The Sweet Shop” (consist of Gulab Jaman, ras malai & shahi tukra) finished off the food drill with pretty generous portions that are good for sharing and keep one satisfied till Suhoor.
