Pizza Express is one of my favorite pizza chains, and I’ve visited their outlet at WTC Mall in Abu Dhabi numerous times. I’ve wanted to visit this outlet since I have heard about their Ramadan offerings. Iftar at Pizza Express was very delicious and filling. Again the portions were generous as always reflected in this place’s menu. We started off from their only Sharing Starter in Ramadan promotion. It was out favorite Doppio Dough Ball. There are in total 5 dips, and we get to try all of them and frankly it’s hard to decide which one is better than the other. (Garlic Butter, Chickpeas, and Garlic, Sundried Tomato and Walnut, Pesto Genovese, Olive Tapenade)
A portion of greens is also one of the choices to be chosen from amongst the mains. Hence we went for nutritious Salad Kale, Walnut, and Citrus. While kids were anxiously waiting for digging onto their favorite course of the menu, we ordered Pasta Pollo Piccante, and it was a very good choice. Rich in taste and fresh ingredients we loved the pasta. There was a twist though as its traditionally Penne at Jazz in this category Jaspreet has given us a surprise by replacing it with spaghetti and we loved it.
In Classic Pizza we opted for Polpette Bolognese being our all time favorite and for Romana version we tasted 2 unique choices i-e Hawaiian (our favorite since Winter menu launch) & Melanzane Romana. You can also donate money with a purchase of each Melanzane pizza to a very good cause throughout this Ramadan at Jazz Pizza Express.
Finally, we ended the meal on a sweet note with 2 different Desserts Bambolini with Espresso Chocolate Sauce & Salted Caramel Hazelnut Verrine plus their traditional sweetness statements Tiramisu & Chocolate Fudge Cake. Tiramisu was mild in taste it didn’t really taste like classic tiramisu though, chocolate fudge cake really good.
All in all, Jazz@PizzaExpress was overwhelming this holy month.The food has always been brilliant, served hot and fresh. The atmosphere is friendly and welcoming, and staff is attentive. Our tummy is happy, and we will definitely come back soon.
