Khansama – Master Chef Delicacy at India Palace

We went to try their newly introduced Limited Edition menu Khansama yesterday. Khansama is comprised of the menu with a curated selection of recipes from the Royal Master Chef. The menu includes their signature delicacies. We started off with some delectable Sunheri Jheenga. These tiger Prawns were marinated overnight in Chili, Lemon & Coriander and crispy fried to perfection. I only found the ground semolina crust a tad bit hard and was taking away the impression of soft prawns. Rest the taste and seasoning were good.

Next arrived at the table was tender and succulent Kasturi Murgh. These are Chicken kebabs marinated in Fenugreek & Black pepper and coated with Saffron, Cardamom, and egg. I love the subtle taste as Kasturi was not over empowering, the dish overall was so appetizing and finger licking good. Much likable by those small fussy eaters as well.

Afterwards, we served with some toothsome Shahi Zaffrani Murgh (gravy style) and Sultan-e-Gosht. Zafrani Murgh cooked to perfection, and the preparation was unique. The chicken breast stuffed with Chicken keema (mince), Cheese, Pistachio, Almond, Saffron with a rich pan seared Shahi gravy; it has an addicted combo with freshly baked naan and tandoori roti.

Then arrived the showstopper Sultan-e-Gosht. Yes, a meat lover’s delight indeed, hearty Biryani prepared the traditional way with juicy on the bone Mutton. The spices were perfect; the presentations were good too.

We also enjoyed refreshing freshly Squeezed Lemonades drinks in Strawberry, Mango, & Classic flavor along with a meal and had ended the meal on a sweet note with ever-popular Shahi Tukda. These heavenly bread squares flavored with Saffron & Rosewater layered on a bed of decadent Rabri. It was aptly sweetened and was so flavourful that I didn’t share with anyone.

Although, it’s not our first time at India Palace and like always they certainly didn’t fail to impress us. The service was flawless, the staff was quick and welcoming, to make it more regal they have live Bangle making stall to gain the attraction of the diners.

All in all, it was a great experience as Khansamas, the Royal MasterChefs working in the stately palace kitchens, created rare and flavorful recipes to satisfy their Kings’ (diners in this case) gastronomic desires. By utilizing exotic ingredient and keeping authentic Indian culture and vibes the Khansama at India Palace surely impressed us. We would recommend this place to get pampered with some Indian imperial delicacies and to indulge in a lovely evening with your family.
