We enjoyed some excellent Home-made style Lebanese food at one of our favorite foodie venue @Mosaic.restaurant which is a frequent place for us ideal foodie outlet for Lebanese cuisine lovers.
It’s quite rare that I rate specific place 5/5, however, every single dish I tasted at this restaurant either today or in previous visits is raising our expectation in terms of taste & it is undoubtedly aptly falling in spectacular category giving true essence to our hungry taste buds. I loved tasting in some newly introduced cold appetizers;
Motabbal Mosaic – apart from regular chickpeas puree the mixture of fried vegetable and soaked pine nuts beautifully added to its texture. Their regular cold mezze including Hummus, Regular Mutabbal, Fatoush and muhammara are delicious in taste as well along with Fresh bread bites.
Basal / Batenjen Flayfleh Bizet & Makdous – oh boy! No ones do eggplant dolma version better than Mosaic trust me! Makdous was unique with a stuffing of chili & walnuts, while basal is deliciously stuffed onions actually very unique and tasty. Chicken Musakhan – best flatbread rolls stuffed with chicken (not too oily; I am surprised how?) You will see some glaze look like oil on top. However, that’s a drizzled mixture of caramelized onion and sumac! So much variation in taste in one item! I applaud them for this creation.
Batata Harra – it’s more of their signature appetizer, spicy crispy cubes of fried potato with coriander & chili pepper; it’s addictive and so hard to resist.
Fatten bill Batenjen – with generous portion it is another best seller i-e eggplant in tomato sauce & fried Arabic bread was served with a fresh yogurt mix and pomegranate.
Very Fresh! Excellent Mixed Grill especially if you are Hungry. The portions are generous as they serve the large-portioned and reasonably priced. Best lamb chop and mixed grill I’ve had in the Capital. Meat and tikka were tender and succulent. Rice pudding was delicious too.
