Lots of restaurants in Capital are serving a variety of cuisines and specialties under one roof. But only few can make a decent and above average menu run down while being just with all the varieties. Rolls N Rice topped that list. This restaurant may be small in size, but it makes up for it with the wide range of main courses and entries it can prepare.
There is something for everyone, from Their wholesome Parmesan Surf n Turf & hearty Philly’s Fave Wrap to hearty & healthy Salads & the very nutritious seafood, you’re sure to find something on our menu that hits the spot! They took pride in serving the dishes from around the world and still updating the menu on a regular basis to cover the entire map!
We begin with Apple Walnut Salad. I loved the home-made sugar coated walnuts; they gave crunchy and nice sweetish element t o Salad. The balsamic dressing was very yummy as well. Healthy & nutritious. Next arrived to table was Tomato Basil Soup with dainty Mozzarella cheese. It was Rich creamy, heavy. It was okayish and more like drinking pizza sauce!
Then comes the starters. It was most enjoyable; crispy Tempura Prawns made the very first impression unforgettable. It was served with spicy mayo and balsamic. Mixed Platter comes with another surprise of 3 sauces, Thai chili, BBQ, and mozzarella sauce. Signature Wrap Tex-Mex Fajitas was made with a special blend of in-house sauces and is a must-try. It was made fresh to order and served HOT!
From around the world section, we opted for gourmet, wholesome and traditional recipes from across the world, including their famous Thai Coconut Curry, Iranian Kebab, Moroccan Meat Ball, Moroccan Meatballs and delicious sides. Irani Torsh Kebab was scrumptious so is Thai coconut curry, with mild lime flavor it was making an addictive combo with well-done jasmine rice. Moroccan meatballs with couscous rice were the best dish of the evening, served in traditional tagine it was made to perfection with tender meat and delicious tomato gravy.
It’s harder to pull off simple traditional specialty dishes for many outlets; thought the ones we tasted at Rolls N Rice are crusty & perfectly spiced-up. All the items served were so unique and dainty that it couldn’t be faked from any other variation.
In my opinion, signature dishes are tastier than the steak; sides come along with the steak were yummy and fresh. I loved the brown rice with mushrooms. We also tried Oreo Milkshake and freshly brewed berry-based Iced Tea to beat the heat, and it did satisfy our sweet tooth! Carrot cake was an ideal dessert to try if you are avoiding that heavy chocolate cake. Their Gluten free cheesecake is very yummy too.
This place has very tasty food with relatively low prices. It is also a good takeaway food outlet for those who love rice and want something healthier to eat. Rolls N Rice also offers specialty grills, gourmet soups and an assortment of desserts with gluten-free options!
