Food at Fairmont Bab Al Bahr

F&B:

Fairmont Bab Al Bahr offers a refreshing pace with world-class dining, including the first Marco Pierre White restaurant from the former three Michelin star British chef completing the luxury experience.

Friday brunch concept was unique and been spread across all 3-4 restaurants. Preparing fresh pasta sheets and penne and them making it al dente. Bread section is huge at breakfast in their all day dining restaurant Cuiscene’. Their falafel waffles are worth mentioning of as it was the first time I have heard of such fusion. During the widely spread Friday brunch, you can walk through the passage between all these restaurants Marco Pierre, Frankies, Cedar Lounge & Cuiscene and will find multiple live counters serving specialty food. Mojito bar is another vivid attraction serving fresh watermelons, pineapple and coconut juices in the shell itself. Foie gras live station was a unique and different concept. The variety of food is unbelievable; one doesn’t have time to try everything in one brunch, its abundant is this price!!

During our two days Hotel stay at Fairmont Bab Al Bahr Abu Dhabi we also experienced the breakfast in the main restaurant Cuiscene. You have the option of sitting outside or inside, and with nice weather, the terrace is fantastic. The restaurant team as well as the lounge team at the lobby smiling at all times and were very attentive; we couldn’t have asked for more!

Cedar Lounge is another beautiful restaurant where you can enjoy sheesha nd drinks. We enjoyed out 2nd-night dinner there; it’s a Lebanese lounge with a variety of food. I loved the salads taste and portion plus the unique presentation and taste if lam ouzi.

The ambiance of outdoor seating is great, but the light inside should be more bright.

The weather and outdoor seating plus sheesha with Grand Mosque view in the background made our night. Service was very good. Their hot and cold mezze were excellent. Over all food was good, but likely no different than what you would find at any upscale hotel for Lebanese food.

Hospitality wise Mr. Elias Saad and his team are doing a great job, keep it up!

Frankies is an amazing Italian restaurant that features amazing Italian food with really amazing service. The ambient is elegant and romantic. We were warmly greeted by the team at Frankie’s and sat down looking around the beautiful wood-fire-pizza-oven at the corner of the restaurant. Their menu was grand and a slightly puzzling, while we were dwelling in food choices, a fresh bread basket arrived at the table.

We tried some delicious Mocktails it includes:

  • Fresh pomegranate, passion fruit and lemonade mix with cinnamon stick
  • Mojito mocktail with fresh lime, mint & passion fruit
  • Fresh orange juice and grenadine syrup with caramelized orange

The mocktail was slightly on the sweeter side but tasted fantastic.

You have many choices in the menu a pizza from the wood-fire-oven will do wonders for those little picky buddies. One another side, if you’d want to try out their amazing pasta it’s a big GO for it! We loved the homemade Spinach & Ricotta Ravioli, the butter and sage sauce was magical with shaved parmesan on top. We also enjoyed Grilled Smoked Prime Rib Eye, which was served with peppercorn sauce and cauliflower gratin and was enthralling. The dishes we tasted were up to the mark for most of our expectations.

Especially steak was perfectly cooked, bold in taste and is served at apt temperature. Risotto Al Funghi with black truffle richness and wild mushrooms stole our hearts. The fresh garlic taste and parmesan added to the zest of this dish. One of the best versions of risotto I had tasted in the Capital indeed.

They serve the best  Chocolate Fondant with Vanilla Ice Cream, and of course, their classic take on tiramisu was our favorite too. The fondant has this perfect chocolate lava in the center! The food and service here were exceptional. A great compact menu overall. It was an absolute delight to dine at Frankie’s, and we highly recommend the venue.
