Origin & Concept:

A group of innovative spa creators got together in 2008 and after a few discussions about the ever evolving spa industry in the region they recognized a fundamental missing link i-e Middle Eastern spa concept!

The primary philosophy of the spa is healing the body through applying various techniques, traditional methods and effective therapies combined with comfort, Care and relaxation. There are so many delightful ingredients in the middle east that have been effective healers for the body, mind and soul for centuries afore the heritage, culture and hospitality remain strong until the current day. The inspiration for Nine Degree was to develop a unique spa brand that keeps middle eastern traditions alive, whilst increasing public knowledge and understanding of the value and vital importance of health and relaxation within day-to-day living and leisure time.

Parking & Location:

The spa has its own reserved parking spots. It is one of the most likable feature they have. You simply book your appointment, reach on time and give them a call. They will sort out all the parking and location distress for you, Ah so I am already in a peace and tranquility mode. We were warmly received by host staff at the parking floor and then taken up to the Roof floor.

With its polished wood floors, Natura Bissé, core skin benefit products and expansive location on the 46th-floor rooftop of Al Ain Tower in Khalidiya, this spa looks nothing less than a regal therapy dream spot. However, it’s not that expensive and is pretty cost effective at providing valued services. Spa shares a reception area with the gym. The spa is in a separated area off to the right, behind Glamour hair salon.

NINE Degrees Spa – Abu Dhabi

Nine Degrees Spa is a unique spa brand I got introduced to them via Wellclubs Club , which reflects an enchanting journey that travels throughout several Middle Eastern countries and regions, absorbing culture, traditional methods and healing remedies along the way. A wonderful collection of ancient health and beauty practices that were passed down from generation to generation have been carefully selected and uniquely combined with modern technologies to develop a rare collection of signature treatments, unique rituals and wellness concepts.

   

 

My Experience:

My hosted treatment was spa’s ultimate massage package (exclusively wish- altered for mahiblog ) i-e Desert Sand Polish, Signature Full Body Massage & O2 Awakening Facial & facial accupressure massage

I was taken up to lockers area, then right after getting into a robe we proceeded to a serene haven i-e their relaxing area, seeing which our first impression (before even going to main treatment room) is alluring. l filled out the customary consultation form and offered a cold towel and small glass of sherbet (juice) with cardamom and cinnamon. Dry flower buds & cinnamon sticks in silver floral holder on serving tray added essence of aroma therapy and oomph factor to hospitality.

My ever smiling therapist Sherly then taken me to a large treatment room at the end of the calming corridor. Fully frosted glass windows and wooden netted lamps on dark color wooden floor gives you a soothing feeling within itself while you are walking to the treatment room. Therapist Sherly, has an exquisite conduct, she took good care of me in terms of knowing my skin type, the areas of attention in body and any health conditions too. She goes briefly over the consultation form and then present you with magic potions. Yes, that’s massage oil, which she would let your mind and body choose as per your aura need.

Initially, I laid down on my front and then back for sand polish. It’s difficult to get comfortable in the first place due to plastic and multi layered sheet on, however with a bit of self-adjustment and therapist fixing up extra cushions under legs, it is fine and adjusted

The sand scrub felt like a tingling massage on body. The mixture exfoliating qualities. It helped removing the dead skin. It was hydrating and did stimulate blood circulation, it left my skin so soft and moisturized and I couldn’t stop smelling and feeling the smoothness on my palms. Once the scrub is done, I was taken to the shower to rinse it off, before the massage began.

I’ve already informed the therapist about my neck and shoulder stiffness and spasm areas which she took extra care of with gentle strokes and used hard pressure elsewhere. Their modus operandi are exceptional with bit of stretching here and there, it’s very comforting. Room’s temperature was throughout adjusted and been taken care of according to my preference and process requirement i-e before & after shower. Generous amount of towels was provided in bathroom and lockers.

After the body treatment finishes, I tried facial which involved cleansing, exfoliating and scrub, a face mask and in the end the facial acupressure massage. My skin looked radiant and fresher. She has advised me to follow my skin care regime with exfoliation and face mask twice a week.

I warmed up with lemon grass tea and heated shoulder pack in the relaxation area. I literally dozed off in that green throw on relaxing chair there for some time, was so drained and completely whisked away in the whole aura of rejuvenation and relaxation.
